To differentiate between standard 3-Pin fans and 4-pin PWM (self adjusting) fans we use PWM in the name of the fan. Of course if you are not sure please just call and ask! As a general rule of thumb, 140mm fans housed in a round or oval shaped housing usually have 120mm mounting holes while those in a more conventional square housing will be have 140mm mounting holes. If a 140mm fan does share the same mounting hole positions as a 120mm fan we will mention it in the description of the fan on the actual product page. Some 140mm fans also have mounting holes which are spaced like those on a 120mm fan and this means that (space permitting) you should be able to use a larger 140mm fan instead of a 120mm fan.
